Pindos free range chickens are bred from slow - growing SASSO chicks, according to one of the best animal welfare models, with strict quality controls. They are raised for at least 65 days and they are free to feed outdoors, from the 20th day of their life. They are fed exclusively with 100% certified plant-based feed, with 65% of their nutrition coming from corn, which gives them their bright yellow color!
In Pindos labs we perform daily tests using state-of-the-art analytical equipment (+1200/month) and dozens of daily microbiological tests for product safety (real time PCR).
Pindos chicken products are awarded with the Superior Taste Award by the International Taste Institute in Brussels. Well cooked Pindos free range chicken meat, contains high-value protein and nutrients. An easy-to-digest meat as it contains fewer purines and a lower concentration of connective tissue.

GYROS
Pindos chicken are fed exclusively with selected 100% plant-based feeds. That’s why gyros has high protein content, it is low in fat with a distinct aroma and intense taste after cooking. The meat is tender with a great texture and it does not dry out during cooking and as such retains more nutrients.

During cooking Pindos chicken gyros, part of its fat may melt and drain, thereby producing a lower fat product, while maintaining its excellent taste.
Pindos gyros is produced and packaged in a new state-of-the-art chicken meat processing plant in Rodotopi, in the heart of Epirus. It is immediately frozen after production to maintain the delicious taste and the high level of hygiene.
